Benefit Bad Gal Eyeliner, It Stick and Eye Bright.

I’m sure some of you are aware that last year Benefit teamed up with Glamour magazine and gave away Benefit’s Bad Gal eyeliner (in black), the Benefit It Stick (in a pale peachy colour) and Benefit’s Eye Bright (which is a very light pink). Naturally I had to have all of these so, after a mad dash to Asda, for £6 I had over £30’s worth of makeup and 3 copies of Glamour magazine.

Benefit Bad Gal Eyeliner – As you can see all three of the products are quite
chunky, so trying to apply this eyeliner in a thin line around the eye area was quite hard. It was however relatively soft unlike some types of pencil eyeliner which you really have to
scrub on which can hurt. I noticed that after about 2 hours a lot of the eyeliner had gone from my eyes, which I would have not been happy with if I had paid the full price for this product which is currently about £14. In my opinion a Rimmel pencil eyeliner bought for £2.99 from Superdrug does a far better job than this and saves you £11, which is quite a big chunk of money.

Benefit It Stick - Again a rather chunky product, however as I normally have large areas that need covering I loved this about it! I have to admit that up until now I have never used a pencil concealer, but I am a convert! I don’t normally have a lot of time to get ready in the mornings so I tend not to let my foundation dry before throwing on the concealer so I thought that trying to put pencil on top of liquid foundation which was still wet would be a disaster. Oh how wrong I was! It almost melts as soon as it touches the skin and is easy to blend in just with a dabbing motion. It lasted all day (with a setting powder over the top) and provided a very good coverage, even on dark circles as bad as mine! I would be more than happy to pay the £12 currently advertised by Benefit for this.

Benefit Eye Bright – To be honest with you there really isn’t much I can say about this product. Benefit’s website suggests dabbing it into the inner and outer corners of the eye to look more awake but I just looked like I had random white blobs on my eye!  I looked on the internet and saw tutorials of people using it as a highlighter under their eyebrows and on the cheek bones but when I tried it I could see no difference. The only use I have found for this is I have a deep chicken pox scar in the middle of my forehead and I put a dab of this in there before applying the rest of my makeup and it seems to hide it a bit more. Over all I would not pay £14 for this product and don’t really see the point of it!
